Fundraising Code of Practice.

Fundraising in the UK is self-regulated, donors are more likely to give to credible organisations with a good reputation. A new ‘Code of Fundraising Practice’ came into force in 2019, outlining the standards and legal responsibilities expected of all charitable fundraising across the UK. Complaints to individual organisations, if unsatisfied, can be escalates to the Scottish Fundraising Standards Panel.

  • The Board of Trustees are legally responsible for all aspects of charitable giving and grant funding
  • A new Code of Fundraising Practise provide a useful reference on all you need to know about these responsibilities
